GrabMyAds Is Not Going Down Quietly

By motd | Jan 9, 2008

Ever since Nuffnang announced the launched of Nuffnang Gliterati, it had created quite a stir with the bloggers. Many vowed not to remove the ads from other South East Asia Ads network while others decided to serve only Nuffnangs Ads from now.

For bloggers who had sign up with GrabMyAds, you would have noticed that there was incoming ads send to your blogs since last night. (See the ads on the left of my blog) I had contacted GrabMyAds for more information since I did not receive any email regarding the incoming ads. Turns out that the ads were send to all bloggers who had signed up for GrabMyAds.

So far, only Blog2U and Nufflets had not reacted to Nuffnang announcements or were they planning a new strategy to counter all this?

    I’m giving them a try as well. It’s a CPC ads. Hope it will perform well.

    Whats there to counter. Nuffnang had put itself out of the race. It is a god send for the rest.

    I somewhat agree with Dewi. There was really not much for the other blog ads networks to counter. Taken from an absolutely negative perspective (especially for bloggers who hardly or never got any ads from NN), it is simply just another move by NN to justify why they haven’t gotten any ads . Furthermore, what guarantee is there that there will be ads serving on their blogs now thereafter?

    Also from another negative perspective, the apparent 20 - 50% more in earnings for Glit NN’gers may simply come about by paying non-Glit NN’gers less. (i.e. pay Glit NN’gers the same rate now while non-Glit NN’gers a lower rate.)

    But let me qualify what I have said: I am NOT saying that this is being done, but just looking at it from an entirely critical and negative aspect.

    Hi,
    actually there is nothing to counter cos we believe it is best for bloggers to have a mixed of different advertisements from different companies at their sites. This give a wider choices to your readers too.

    Nuffnang are technically trying to gain support from 2 types of blogger. First type is celebrity. Second type is 14-18 year olds who would be so tickled reading blogs of those celebrities making fun of others on their blog.

    Thats all they need. Their business model are based on this theory. And this come from a very reliable source within Nuffnang Malaysia.

    Professionals or people who are in university are not their prime target, therefore they couldn’t care about entertaining them no matter what is the issue or opinion. To them it is not relevant. Read it, the word here is relevancy. You are not relevant to their business model, what you are going to say ain’t gonna cut a string.

    Have you professionals or university students mobbing Kennysia? Of course they would not! Who in the right man would try to mob a fat bastard who does all kind vice like visiting prostitutes and smuggling things through airport?

    Oi, you gotta be joking to say we would mob him can? Don’t insult our ability to think can? Glitterati? Trying to make all 14-18 year olds blog only serve Nuffnang ads ar? Nah, you can have it. 14-18 year olds are kids. Of course Timothy( a kid himself) would try to win support of kids right? I mean you can’t expect a kid to rub shoulders with Josh or Paddy right? Or anybody who had education up to university level right?

    So remember this guys, you are not relevant to Nuffnang, therefore your views are irrelevant. You are just not considered by them to be a valuable item. No value in their eyes. Glitterati was not created for you. Period. The script had been written, you are free to walk.

    I feel nuffnang is like a plaything cannot be taken too serious as compared to the big boys that are in for the business?

    @xizor2000

    You are right in a way. 20% - 50% extra of zero is still zero. We can’t be sure that there will be ads send to those people in Gliterati. One thing I can be sure of is that if I am not in the Gliterati, I will have less chances of receiving ads. It’s more or less asking me either to join them or skip them totally.

    @Mindy Lok

    Alot of business are started as a plaything. I still prefer those big boys in the business but somehow their money are harder to earn.

    How can businesses started by 24 year olds be not a plaything? Normally a 24 year old can start business is because of papa-grant money. They haven’t experienced the adversity to understand.

    If you are in your 30s, you know, it is not a toy. It either makes or breaks you. Coz the bank is asking you to pay loans and you have mouth to feed. But a 24 year old? On timothy’s blog, he once mentioned that he do not believe in borrowing money from banks and if anyone wanted to do so, they would be digging their own grave. How will a man ever say that? Has this boy become so disrespectful for other entrepeueners who hasn’t the rich papa he has? Does he think it is a plaything that he can fail and still go to his blog posting some things for readers to laugh?

    Have you read what they do in the office? Eat chezels all day long. Do you know few weeks ago the Malaysian office receives a box of chezel with Timothy capturing the process where a female employee opens the box? They say someone posted to the office right? The fact is Tim himself posted the box to his own office and then when the staff receives the box, he simply turn up the videocam and capture it showing how happy their people are and post it on his blog. Talking about conspiracies….
    And all these are coming from a source close to someone in the Malaysian office.

    Of course we cannot expect boys to do what men can do right? And timothy he actually think of himself that looks like one frigging hunk, in actual fact he looks like shit with a shitty hair style with a friggin mole that can’t appear anywhere worse on the face. Freak you Mr Timothy, you are one helluva egoistic childish boy.

    Timothy : Whatever you do, don’t take a bank loan though (even if you could get one). Especially if you’re running an internet business……..

    Timothy, we already seen though you. Just because you have papa-grant money does not mean people should not take a bank loan. Just because you drive a BMW does not mean people should not drive a proton. Just because you have Nuffnang does not mean you can stop me from displaying ads from elsewhere.

    Just because you think you are god send does not mean i need to worship the road you walk on. May your business fail big time, and lost some much money you need to borrow from bank just to feed yourself.
