HTC 838 Pro With PhoneBak Anti-Theft Software By BAK2u.com
I have been waiting to try out PhoneBak Anti-Theft software by BAK2u ever since I read about it on computer times. In my opinion, this is a must have for my gadgets since I tend to misplace them from time to time. Since Paddy of BAK2u is looking for people to try out the software, I sign up for it immediately.
So what is PhoneBAK? [Information taken from BAK2u.com]
Anti-theft software that works quietly in the mobile phone device (Symbian OS, Sony Ericsson, PDA phone, Blackberry) by automatically checking if the gadget is stolen. It sends the thief’s contact number, location and other details to help get the device back.
The thought of installing PhoneBak Anti-Theft software scares me actually. I have more experience using a Nokia Symbian phone than Windows Mobile 6 and it is the first time I am installing a program into HTC 838 Pro. Luckily the software comes with a idiot proof installation guide. You can’t go wrong following the steps in the manual. Did I mention that it is a installation guide with pictures?
I did have a little problem trying to configure the PhoneBak software. Turns out you need to save and exit the PhoneBak software before running the trial test. Took me awhile to understand. Once you have done the configuration done, the phone is protected!
