Want a refund on your investment from the controversial Multi Level Marketing (MLM) firm Sunshine Empire?
First you had to agree to these criteria. (Source from Shin Min Daily News)
- Pay an administration fees of at least $600
- Wait for at least 21 days for your refund
- Speed up the process? Introduce a new member to join the Empire.
a) How did the administration fees came to $600?
Here’s the formula.
(Principle x 5%) + $40
So if you put in $12,700,
($12,700 x 5%) + $40 = $675
b) Why wait for 21 days?
It needs 21 days to close the account.
c) How to speed up the process?
Introduce a new member to Sunshine Empire. Not only would the administration fees be waived, the members would get their refund back faster.
That was the reply a member, Madam Wong got from Sunshine Empire when she wanted her money back earlier this morning. Moreover, Madam Wong was warned by the employee of Sunshine Empire not to sprout nonsense to the reporter or there would be no refund for her.
These criteria was completely left out on the article that published on the Straits Times on the 14th November.
Quote from Straits Times
When asked if Sunshine would entertain refund requests, the spokesman said that this has been its policy all along. He added that there have been no refund requests here so far but said the Malaysian Sunshine office has received five refund request.
Most Sunshine participants that The Straits Times interviewed were unaware that they could get refunds.
Is this the end of the Sunshine Empire in Singapore? It is hard to pass any comment at this point of time as the investigation by the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) are still on going. The more digging done by CAD, the more dark secrets they are going to uncover. For now, the investors can only wait for further updates on the case.
